Liaison Interpretation is a form of consecutive interpretation. Liaison Interpretation is used mainly to mediate between two or more people who do not speak the same language on a more informal and personal basis.
Liaison interpreting involves relaying what is spoken to one, between two, or among many people. This can be done after a short speech, or consecutively, sentence-by-sentence, or as chuchotage (see whispered interpretation); aside from notes taken at the time, no equipment is used.
