Chinese RAM to Start Production
Chinese RAM manufacturers, YMTC, JHICC and Hefei Changxin are to start trail production of RAM in the second half of the year. They are not likely to change the dorminating position of Samsung, Micron and SK Hynix, but are expected to have impact on the market.
Chinese Brand RAM on the Market
Feb 28th, 2018, Chinese manufacturer UnilC told the Press that its DDR4 ram will be available on the market within the year. Presently we can already buy them despite the fact that they are not officially launched. The version available now carries Hynix chips, due to deficient DRAM capacity. UnilC acquired memory business from Infineon, but still suffers from low capacity and low yield rate.
Dec 22, UniGroup Guoxin (SZ: 002409) and its related companies are to found a Long Rive Holdings to hold the equity of Long Rive Storage Tech Ltd. UniGroup will provide RMB19.7 billion for 51.04% of the shares.
