Chinese RAM manufacturers, YMTC, JHICC and Hefei Changxin are to start trail production of RAM in the second half of the year. They are not likely to change the dorminating position of Samsung, Micron and SK Hynix, but are expected to have impact on the market.

July 17th, Pinduoduo.com submitted an updated Prospectus to SEC for its planned IPO on NASDAQ. According to the document, the Company received a revenue of USD220 million in 2018 Q1 and a new loss of USD3.204 million.
Xiaomi’s 1st Week on Stock Market
July 13th, after the 1st week of trading, Xiaomi is now up 26.18% and worth close to USD67 billion, about the same with SONY.
JD Finance Capital Increase
July 12th, JD Finance has signed capital increase agreement with investors to raise RMB13 billion. The Company is estimated to worth RMB133 billion upon completion. The transaction is expected to complete in Q3 2018.
Ban On ZTE Removed
According to the Commerce Department of the USA, the ban on business between US companies and Chinese manufacturer ZTE after a USD400 million deposite was paid to the US government.
Tesla Gigafactory 3 to be in Shanghai
July 10th, Tesla has signed investment agreement with Shanghai authorities that a Gigafactory 3 will be set up in Lingang Region with a planned capacity of 500,000 cars per year. This is by far the biggest foreign investment in Shanghai.
Xiaomi’s 1st Day at HKSE
July 9th, Xiaomi closed at HKD16.8 after its first trading day at HKSE. Down by 1.18%, volume was HKD7,682.4. Based on the price, the Company was worth HKD375.9 billion.
ZTE Ban Partly Removed
July 6th, according to ZTE‘s announcement, US government has lifted part of the ban on its business. Now the Company is able to continue operating existing network and infrastructure to provide support for its phones.
