Remote Interpretation
Remote interpretation is the verbal translation between one or multiple people, taking place through video or audio conferencing, often with the help of specially designed remote interpretation platforms. Ad-hoc, as well as pre-scheduled consecutive (CI) and/or simultaneous Interpretation (SI), can be arranged remotely. Globibo provides remote Interpretation service for both CI and SI.

Types of Remote Interpretation
The two types of Remote Interpretation are as follows:Ad Hoc Remote Interpretation
Ad Hoc Remote Interpretation takes place through audio calls or video lines. In this type of Interpretation, the Interpreter is selected among the large pool of available remote interpreters through an fully- or semi-automated system. This type of remote interpretation only supports Consecutive Interpretation.
Ad-hoc remote interpretation requires the set up of a contractual relationship before any ad-hoc calls can be made. Once the account is set up, the client can take the service anytime and anywhere remotely by just simply entering unique code allotted at the time of setup. We support more than 50 languages for Interpretation and in general the work is charged per minute.
Scheduled Remote Interpretation
Scheduled Remote Interpretation is scheduled before the actual remote interpretation is required. The interpreter is selected and finalized in advance and prior to the interpretation event or meeting. Both simultaneous (SI) and consecutive Interpretation (CI) can take place through basic or more professional infrastructures.
Remote Interpretation Software
We provide different infrastructure options to our clients, based on the specific need of the remote interpretation. For ad-hoc remote interpreting, we provide the phone system/server routing platform so nothing else but a phone line is needed for our client. For larger events and conferences, we also provide a smartphone or hardware-based receiver infrastructure. For live-streaming of multiple parallel audio/video connections, we leverage our Event Management Platform
Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment
Simultaneous Interpretation Booth
The portable interpreter booth provides working accommodation for one, two, three or four interpreters. The whole booth can be assembled by means of hook fastenings. The dimensions and weights of the individual modules make it possible to transport and assemble the booth by one person only. The vertical modules are made of a robust outer hardwood frame which surrounds a central panel made of a soundproofing laminate material. The booth is designed to take two low noise tangential fans ensuring an adequate amount of air circulating in the booth. Simultaneous Interpretation Receivers
Our wireless simultaneous interpretation receivers use infrared for audio transmission of up to 32 channels. Based on proven technologies our comfortable wireless Receivers provie noise-free reception. Simultaneous Interpretation Software
The interpretation software drives the infrastructure that the presentation is rendered in one or many other languages. Our System consists of all components required to link to wireless transmitters and receivers to provide a voice-silenced communication system that is fully self-contained and portable. Simultaneous Interpretation Infrastructure
